With all this talk about Senator Obama and his lack of appeal to Catholics, working class white people, and older people… There is absolutely no talk about how Senator Clinton has consistently failed to win educated white people, black people, young people and the non-catholic segment. African-American people are the second-largest minority in the United States however they categorically support Senator Obama despite his difficulties with Reverend Wright. The biggest factor out of all these exit polls is the fact that younger people like myself in America favor Senator Obama which many older folk might attribute to the brashness of youth but I attribute to risk/progress. Younger people realize the future is not yesterday or today but tomorrow and if we are willing to take a risk, America can be restored in the eyes of the world to the great nation it is meant to be. That being said, I know quite a few people my age who openly support Senator Clinton or Senator McCain but on places like Facebook, these people are the minority. I think if this nomination isn’t settled by the convention, the super-delegates need to take into account that Senator Obama has given the democrats the record turnout because it is the young people who are typically apathetic towards politics who are now turning out in droves.
